Okay, so I was thinking... if you made a list of all the qualities that you would look for in a potential mate...the "perfect" match...what kind of percentage of that list do you think the average relationship meets?
Making a list like that is bad, and I'm picky enough as it is, but I'm just a little Curious George.

The percent is irrelevant as all items are not equal. You could have only 30% match and that works great if it the big hitters. And, you could have 80% and miss on some big hitters that would destroy a happy relationship. At top of my list is to find someone that you respect as a person - perhaps someone that is smart, considerate and caring. Sense of humor or fun loving is high on my list. Also, has to be someone that you are physically attracted to as well as shallow as that sounds.

Good point. It would still be interesting to see some sort of statistic on that, though. I'm not sure how weighting certain things would work. And I agree - there has to be some sort of physical attraction.
